So a co-worker gave me his 1991 Laser RS that has been sitting for awhile. He says that he was able to start it up about every month until June of this year. Anyway I get the car which doesnt start. I checked everything from the Haynes Manual.

I thought it was a bad fuel pump but before I replaced I decided to check the voltage going to the pump. When I checked it there was nothing reading. I checked the fuses and the EFI relay. The relay looked good but I think connect 6 wasnt exactly correct.

What else could be causing the fuel pump to not be getting any power?

Reading the manual it says to run a jumper wire from the + terminal to the fuel pump check terminal. I did this without the fuel pump coming on. I am not sure if I did this correctly though.

-Check the ECU for leaky capacitors.
