Degreased engine, now problems...

I degreased and washed off my engine yesterday. Now today it stutters and cuts out when trying to accelerate. Whats the problem?

sounds like you got the cam angle sensor wet, or maybe the Coil pack.. Hope it's just the coil pack or water in the Spark plug holes.. pull the plugs and look for water anywere around them, dry it with a shop vac then spray everything with WD-40. If the CAS got wet, from what i have heard it may be shot and a new one will be needed.. Check the plug wires first though..

Ya I have a 95 GST and they suck when it comes to electronics. They have an exposed Cam sensor under the intake gear and if that gets water on it, its a BI7CH to replace! A little oil or water on the Crank gear and THAT's a pain as well to get to. But if your able to start the car and it only stutters when u mash on it...it sounds like its something to do with the spark plug/wires. If you start the car and at idle it stuters and cuts off...then you might have to inspect the sensors. Just replace your plugs to some nice Magnacores, get some BPR7ES NGK plugs and see if that doesnt fix it. You can also get a used coil pack cheap from a local yard if that happens to be it.

Well I kept drivin it(some'n in the ignition) and I figured it might dry up cuzz a mechanic told it should dry up in a few days. So yesterday I got in it and it was fine, I had been driving 45 minutes before and it was still crappy, but then it ran fine and still runs fine today.
