fuel filter help plz hurry

wtf ....how am i supposed to do the fuel filter i removed battery and battery tray...and i still can't see the bottom of this bi*** as in the vfaq for the 1g, i've got a charchol canister in my ####in way i'm soo ate up right now cuz i've been messin with it all day someone plz help me before i go crazy

It's a bi*** to get, but keep trying, you'll get it. You don't have to see it (it doesn't matter anyway, because you can't see it). Just get the wrench on there good and turn it real hard. Use a line wrench or there is a good chance you'll strip it. If you strip it anyway, or did already, use small vice grips. Get them on there real tight and that'll work.

Yeah, there is no pain in the butt worse than that damned fuel filter. I had a bi*** of a time getting it off even with the head off the engine. I would recommend taking out the charcoal canister.

I did finally get the thing off using a weird set of vice grips that look sort of like the beak of a pelican. I clipped those on the fuel filter body itself and that, plus a line wrench, did it.

Do yourself a favor and check out the "mini Steve-Tek" (sp?) upgrade. Basically that's replacing the stock filter with an Aeromotive (or the like) that has a replaceable element. This makes it much easier to change the filter.
