Check engine light is on

My Pocket Logger will no longer connect to the ECU

Engines is missing really badly, randomly

Here's what happened leading up to this-
I had bought a supposed TMO ECU chip. Swapped it in and turned the car on. All I hear is clicking coming from all over the car- From the injectors & relays in the dash. Car won't start with this chip. When I pulled the chip the ECU seemed very hot. It was only on for maybe 10 seconds and not started. Swap in the original chip, everything seems OK. I turned the car on- but didn't start it. After say 5-10 seconds the injectors would start clicking randomly. Seemed weird but the battery was almost dead at this point, thought it was related to that.

I start the car and the check engine light comes on. At this point I can still connect wit the pocket logger. I had an "injector circuit" code. I clear the code and the light stays off for a little while. I take the car out. It's driving fine. I give it full throttle and the CEL comes back on. I try to see what it is with the logger and I can't connect. I figured I had pulled the datlogger cable out.

So now I go to get gas. Stop the car and it starts idling funny. Idles normal for a few seconds then drops down and starts to miss. Then goes back to normal. I decide I should turn back and go home. Now the car is running really badly. Its down on power big time and it misses badly every few seconds. It seemed to be getting worse the more I drove. By the time I got home- only a 5 minute drive it was missing more than it was running. It won't idle now either.

My guess is this "TMO" chip fried my ECU. I'm open and hoping for other ideas though.

Thanks
