I just installed intercooler piping, a bigger BOV, and an intake in my car. Now, all of the sudden, my boost is going to 20PSI instead of the 1BAR I had it set at before. I lack the tools right now to adjust the controller (My dad's tools are at some job site of his). I will get ahold of the proper tools soon enough, but I was just wondering if this is normal? I didn't think that mods would affect how air flows through the wastegate, but tell me otherwise if that's not the case.

On top of this, when I boost high smoke shoots out of my tailpipe. My mechanic told me that there is some shaft play in the turbo, and that if smoke comes out then that's why.

One more thing. I had been boosting 20PSI for a day or two before I noticed. I only went WOT a couple of time; do you think engine damage is possible? Everything feels fine, but I'm still a little worried...

Thanks for any help.

Alright, I got ahold of some of my dad's tools. I made the adjustment so now I'm back at about 14PSI. However, the boost doesn't stay rock solid like it did before. The boost level changes a little in a range of 12.5-14PSI. Does this have something to do with the inability to keep the BCS hose going into the intake with the Dejon tool intake? With some extra modification (Fun with a drill) I could maybe get that BCS hose hooked back up...
