Engine is reving but car isn't moving as fast as normal

Well i just recently put my own tranny in, and afterwards i was hearing noises coming from what i think is the suspension. Well it's been about a month now and today i go to drive it and first gear revs like normal except the car isn't going as fast as normal. But it would only do this in 1st and 2nd gear. It has since fixed itself for now but i know it's not good. I would think my transfer case or something is ####in up. I'm not really sure and it'll be friday before i can get the thing on a rack. I know this is a serious problem. Anyone have any clue? Thanks.

Sounds to me like you have some clutch slippage
