I belive White smoke is Watter, and Blue smoke is oil. But I could be wrong. Check your oil for any white stuff in it.

yea i'm pretty sure its water and coolant

yah, check the oil for the extent of the damage. Also Start the car without the Rad cap MAKE SURE THE CAR IS COOLED DOWN, and look if you see bubbling, If there is, the Head Gasket is more then likely bad.

i'll try it...should i also do a compression test?

yah, do that. Your going to get the same Results as when the Car is running. but you will be able to pin point it. Listin for hissing, Take the Rad cap off when doing the compression Test. might wana do a Leak down test also while ur at it.

i didn't hear any hissing but my compression is 190, 180,185, 190...anybody help?!!

well since my compression was high i did the mccc treatment and i'm going to check the compresstion right now....and one more question
can everyone start a list of what could cause white smoke to come out at idle...cuz i don't want the shop to take the head off and be like well its not the head gasket...soooo....someone help please!

sooo my results are as follows

#1-185
#2-180
#3-180
#4-180

sooo now what?

hmm, Compression is good. Then I would say Valve Seals are going bad, Oil is leaking from the head ontop of the pistons, get ur head checked out by a shop that ONLY works on heads, there are some. And they will tell you whats up. I dont think its ur Rings, Also ur Turbo might be blown and its throwing Oil into the intake. NOT GOOD, Check inside ur Turbo hoses for oil, AND ur intercooler, and look for oil. check for Shaft play on the turbo, by pushing on the blades, and if it moves, then it has play, it should be nice a tight, Like a Sweet 16 Virgin! hahahaha, sorry. If it has to much play, time to UPGRADE!!!!!! BRAHHHHHHHHHH PSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTT. Sorry Im at work, and Im bored out of my mind!!!

White smoke is just water and moisture, and the black, sooty stuff i just carbon build up...if your car sits for awhile (especially if it humid) you will get that....my car does the same thing and its fine.....just rememeber

White=Water
Blue=oil
Black=Gas

well the white smoke comes after i'm all warmed up and idleing...i oil comes at diff times, and fuel comes when i get on it...i was told that it could be my turbo making both...cuz the t25 is water cooled soo i dunno....but i jus ordered an evo 3 16g kit...so i hope this solves the blue and white smoke and tuning should take care of the black...

just because the compression test came out doesn't mean that the head gasket is still good. i know multiple people that had good compression & the head gasket was blown. to be more specific, my head gasket is blown right now my compression was 155 across the board after the fact. same thing happened to a couple of my friends.

yea, my car does the same, but im guessing its just the heat coming out of the exhaust and colliding with the cold weather down here in alaska that is causing the white smoke, but maybe im wrong because people say when i accelerate, a huge white cloud of smoke comes out of my exhaust then quickly disappears. since its not a thick white cloud that stays in the atmosphere for a second or two, it doesnt really worry me.
