me and my roomate installed a lindsey racing boost controller (bleeder valve type??) on my car...nw it caused a ton of probs...at firts..the car would shut off (well fuel cut off) and 5000 rpms in 3rd gear..the boost gauge was only reading 12 psi...so we changed the controller to a hallman one (ball and spring) thinking that would help remedy the problenm..the fuel didn't cut off n e more but the car runs like total crap (like undriveable)..so we gapped the plugs (.028)..the car ran well for like 5 mins..then went back to barely running...we had a friend plug his pcketlogger into it and the reading showed that the o2 sensor was staying constant, not jumping around.so we replaced it...and the car is still running like crap..i have no idea where to go from here..help..please
it idles fine, but around 2lbs of boost it breaks up, almost like it's misfireing, and when the hood is popped there is smoke coming from the exhaust flange on the turbo.

any oil leaks near the feed line off the turbo that would cause the smoke? this would also drop or atleast mess with your oil pressure cause some pretty noticable engine variations. Other than that not too sure....fuel system cleaned recently???
