Throttle sticking!!!!

When ever I get on the gas in 1st and 2nd gear the gas peddal gets stuck to the floor. I recently had the throttle cable replaced and the mech, who put it in said it's because my alarm is causing the problem. When the car is'nt running and I step on the gas the peddal still get stuck to the floor. Is it me or is there a simple adjustment to the throttle cable. I have a 97 gst with cruise control. Thanks!

Your mechanic, if he takes many more classes, may become an idiot. The alarm has _nothing_ to do with the throttle.

Check your cable housing for kinks, cable ends for alignment, and carpet interference of the linkage.

My point exactly! This yahoo has his own side business from his fulltime job working for satan.What was I thinking!!!!!!!!!!! I did what you said but nothing looks kinked or sticking. It's almost as if the return springs are not tight enough or one of the cables is too long.
