tranny fluid leaking

So, I get to my buddy’s house after a 45min drive, and we notice some tranny fluid on the ground after sitting. Upon further inspection we notice its coming from a hole on top of the tranny where there appears to be a rubber plug missing. I can see right down into the tranny. It is directly over the passenger axel on the top of the transmission. I looked on my buddy’s and his has a rubber plug looking thing, so obviously that’s where it is coming from. Somehow on the trip over that came out. Anyone know what the plug is called so i can order another one? Thanks.

It's the filler plug. Tell your buddy you need to look at his, then drive off really quick. They should have them at the parts store, I doubt this is the only car using them. If nothing else, at least put a cork in there until you get it replaced- lots of grit and crap coming off that tire. Good time to swap to Pennzoil Synchromesh, while you're at it.
