If you have those symptoms, like me, and have an S-AFC, did you CUT the airflow signal wire in HALF when you connected the pink (plug half) & orange wire (other half) ?
The instructions I used did NOT say to cut the wire in half, and after replacing plugs/wires/coilpack...I was about to get another ECU, when I read a little more about the s-afc install and noticed the vfaq version says to cut the wire, sure enough, my hesitation is GONE and no more CEL. I can't believe it was that easy, all due to someone's wrong instruction :|
I must have read about 20 threads here about this, so I hope this helps someone at least!

wow.... yes you are supposed to cut it. the signal is sent to the afc and sent back out with the adjustments it made back to the ECU

Does this apply to the s-afc II also. Because ever since mine been installed it bucks at lower rpms + higher throttle. Also Major hestitation at WOT. I'm getting frustrated because I installed fuel system, turbo, port work, and afc at same time, and I have not reaped the benefits
 .

ok I check the wiring and it's fine. But I still have all those symptoms. My O2 sensor is probably dead, could that cause all those problems.

check your spark plugs, the spark plug gap, and spark plug wires. also check for any boost leaks. while you are at it, check your coil for any cracks.

also you may be running too rich. are you running a logger?
