i think my BOV is going up

ok heres the deal, ive had the boost leak for a few months now and its getting pretty old. although one morning i was taking a lady home and i open it up. what do you know i get full boost. then a few days later it goes away. im in the process of replacing the vacum hoses now. do you guys think it could the BOV getting old. the car does have 195k miles on it and is 13 years old. ill be barrowing my friends BOV in a few days i think. but in the mean time i was just wondering if the BOV could be the reason for the leak at 7-8psi?

well slick what do you think i am tring to do now? not sure if its a hose because for a ltitle bit it did come back, and the guy before me who owned the car said it had its on and off days (bought the car at 186k) plus i am working on putting new vac lines in
