My car's been running super lean for a long time, I've checked everything from my fuel pump up to my injectors and everything checked out ok. Then a friend of mine (a DSMer), said to check the oxygen sensor, so I did and go figure, it's toast! I know where to get one and everything, but I just paid my tuition bill  and I'm broke. Is there a way I can bring my A/F ratio back to Stoichiometric temporarily until I have the cash for an o2 sensor?:laser:

wtf are u talking about dud O2 is about 60,Dont u have 60 bucs?
And also for turbo cars the fuel computer is must if u wana run as strong as posible.I think that some ppl even eliminate the O2 completely.:thumb:

I was told to go to SATAN for my o2 and well, they quoted me 140.00OMG So im running around with what im guessing is a bad o2 sensor as the car runs like ass.

Ummm...yeah, I'm that broke, for a week anyway. I dunno, could I just say screw the o2 sensor and just get a s-afc? I really don't know much about fuel systems so any (intelligent) help would be greatly appreciated.:laser:

OK elite afc's run $300, and o2 sensors run $65 on prostreetonline.com. Also, If you don't know much about fuel systems, what make you think you can get by with just the afc with no o2 sensor. You need a o2 sensor. SELL YOUR PLATELETS OR MAN SYRUP WHATEVER!!!:thumb:

The o2 sensors that these on-line places sell, are they the kind that will not require any splicing for the wires? I do know that some o2 sensors that certain auto places sell, require one to do something like this. I'm in need of a sensor soon also. Thanks:dsm:

I don't do any of my fuel tuning, a friend of mine who's been tuning sport compacts for years has been helping me with my fuel tuning. The thing is though, I've been trying to do it myself and when I'm stuck, I call him. Also, for nat01, The online stores should tell you if the o2 sensor comes with the connection or not. The biggest thing is to make sure you get the right kind (most likely a 4 wire pre-heated sensor).:laser:

the biggest thing nat is to get a mitsu or comparable o2 sensor. I got one of those denso universal from advanced auto parts, BIG MISTAKE. I'm getting 16 mpg and my car has more hesitation than a stutterer. So a major f-u to the advanced "technician" who said that sensor would work fine

Been there, done that. Was it a 1 wire universal? That's what NAPA gave me. after scratching my head for a while, I came to the conclusion that there was no way a one wire was gonna do the job. After doing some online research i found out it was a o2 sensor for mazda 626!? what was this guy smokin! Let's face it guys, over the counter techs that don't tune are worthless!:laser:
