car is smoking and burning oil

My 95 talon nt has been smoking recently. It gets progressively worse as i drive it longer and happens when the car is at idle, like when im at a stoplight. Also it has been burning oil. the smoke is white with just a little blue in it. Any ideas on what it is??? mabey piston rings???thanks in advance.

white smoke usually means the car is burning tranny fluid or anti-freeze.

I'd be willing to take a guess that its a bad head gasket
