I just got my DSM today. 95 GST. it was only $2k. with a crapload of mods (see my sig). Well i looked under the hood and saw alot of suspicious things. Here is some stuff i found...

I saw this wire behind the intake manifold that is wrapped in duct tape. Does anyone know what this wire is so i an replace it? I do NOT want duct tape holding my car parts together....

I looked next to the power steering reservoir and found these two cables (or harnesses). They were just resting there. Do you guys know what they are for?

I found this random, saggy, cut up wire hanging under the bumper. Its right behind the intercooler and just to the right of the oilpan. What is this wire? it looks pretty beat up and it cant be good to have it sagging. Also, you see the big goldish, wet looking, circular, pully looking thing in the top left of the picture? Should it be that color?

I was looking underneath and saw this set of pulleys with no belt on it. What are these pullys for? Why are they just sitting there?

If you guys could help me with this, i'd appreciate it alot :) ;)

Pic #1-Looks like a grounding cable.

Pic #2-The connector that you are actually holding might be for the hood closed switch. See here: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/151528416-post19.html
How many and what color wires on other connector?

Pic #3-Oil pressure sending unit. Shows oil pressure, not the dummy light.

Pic #4-You're missing your power steering belt.

first picture is the motor to chasis ground.

2nd pic is I think for the ABS

3rd pic is for the oil pressure gauge

4th pic is for the power steering belt.

Wow so basically i have no antilock brakes? that explains why when i brake hard, the car shakes and makes a knocking noise??

And the oil pressure gauge, how do i fix it? Just replace it?

And power steering belt, ill just pick one up and put it on.

Oh yeah, in the 2nd picture, i am holding two harness things. the longer one has 2 wires, white n green as you can see in the picture. Where do i plug these in to??

420aNEWB are you saying my DSM is a POS? :(

haha jk. theres now wasy to take a pic of my whole engine bay and have you be able to identify little things. Or were you just kidding?... :]

Picture # 2 The red connector looks like the A/C drier connector

Picture # 3 Wire is for the oil pressure idiot light, the gold pulley looking thing is the oil filter housing, must be a oil leak their.

The 2nd pic- is defintally the for the A/C

The 3rd Pic- Oil pressure guage, but where teh blue connecter is there is useally a different style of connector that has a clip on it so it attachs to a hole in the filter housing. Looks like someone rewired it.
