oil leak.....

Ok recently i have been experiencing a lot of problems from my car. First off the water pump goes out, no big deal. I replaced it. Now i have a smoking issue, no boost at all... I have a oil leak from the exhaust manifold bolts in the center of the head... I had just put a new head on it two months ago.... Im running 138 psi compression, no overheating issue, the car runs fine n/a.....

Are those bolts helicoiled? I bought a head from a guy that had one of the manifold studs helicoiled and the runner on the manifold was a little moist from oil leaking out of it. I put a whole lot of red lock tight on that stud and haven't had a problem since.

I have a new turbo and manifold coming sometime in the next few days. I'll check, when i installed it, the head looked good for a reman. My machinist told me that more than likely American Cyl head co. just put new valves in it and pressure tested it. Just need a second opinion....

Have you checked the turbo to see if the compressor spins freely and for shaft play? Although this may be a moot point since you have a new turbo on the way.

For the leak at the exhaust manifold stud, make sure that it is an oem stud with the correct length and that it is not loose. If it is securely in place in the head then you can consider trying something like this:
