I read this: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/pro...ke-pedal-vibration-belt-squeal-need-help.html

and i have similar problems..
I got a 95 eclipse for $200. Told it had been run with little oil and started to seize, but they pulled over and put oil in and it ran with a light knock. Thats not my main concern because i'm going to rebuild the engine. Anyways, the car hadn't been started in almost a year. I put a battery in it and gave it a shot. With a couple hits on the gas pedal she started and idled, but there was a squeal and smoke coming from the passenger side of the engine bay. My guess a belt. The guy in that thread above said it was the wrong belt. I dont think this is the case, but my question is, Are these just signs of a belt problem? and what belt is on that side? am I going to run into problems if i run the engine with the belt burning so i can diagnose it?

Thanks for any help.

btw.. its got a 420a all stock. Thanks
