DO I NEED MAF Translator

I was thinking about the mas and MAF Translator. Where do I put the mass and translator Do I need it or can i take it out and if I do need it how much hp will I gain out it or will the car run right?

You are obviously new? Its cool ill just let you know you should do some research on this website because our topics usually answer anything you wanna know.

Anyways. The maf-t is a tuning devise that is a little bigger than a pack of cards and it takes a signal from a MAF( that are made for GMs.) and tweaks it alittle bit and then sends it to the ecu so it will either put in more or less fuel. If you are all stock then it won't really benefit you. You need a datalogger or wideband o2 to see what is going on when you mess with the settings. The most you'll gain is to be able to run high boost because 2g MAS is limited to about 30 psi I believe. Also you get to vent if you put the GM MAF after the BOV. And you might gain slightly more airflow.

Put the mass in your upper intercooler pipe after the blow off valve.

If its the original Translator mount it on the firewall and wire it accordingly.

Thing that you will gain the most from doing just the conversion is some good spool up and being able to vent.
