ok well my car has been down since feb and im kinda frustrated now...nothing on the transmission was touched besides what needs to be to remove the engine and to put it back in. the engine was put in and at first it started up fine i let the car sit idling so everything would get oiled once all the weird rebuilt engine sounds fades i put the car in drive and the car would not move at all put it in reverse and nothing none of the gears work turned the car off and turned it back on and it didnt want to turn over i found out that i need to pump the gas pedal sometimes so it starts up but the car still doesnt move and if i rev it in neutral it will rev idle for a second or 2 and than die...can someone please help me out and let me know what to check everything seems to be connected but im clueless to what it could be

(i have looked and looked everywhere and havent found anything like this...if you have seen something please let me know i need my car running again)

thanks in advance
:dsm:Jose:dsm:

i forgot to add the car does has trans fluid and the car was running fine(besides the huge cloud of smoke) before the overhaul...another thing i did notice that when you move the steering whell it feels like it is gonna stall outWTF

i would check your timing, that would make it not start. the reason for the almost stall when you turn the wheel is cause you are putting load on the engine via the power steering pump. this will happen when you are all ready at a low idle.

as for the trans you could have damaged the pump when you removed it or you just dont have enough fluid in it. check your fluid level then pull one of the cooler lines to make sure it is pumping.

try out that stuff......if i can think of any other reasons i will post!!

good luck!:thumb:

i headed to my the local mitsu dealer and the guy that helped me out said it was the torque converter...reason why i dont go right in to that is because i dont want to do something major if its not a for sure....another being the reason this was the same guy that told me i could not use a 93 gsx 450cc in a 96 gsx...road race said it was fine to use it and my friends car has been running fine since, so idk if i should trust this parts guy from mitsu:confused:

ok i know it might be a dumb question to some but its bugging me since i dont know about this stuff could the pump get damaged when we pulled the engine and didnt touch the tranny? one thing i did notice as well now my car is leaking tranny fluid but before that it didnt and it did have tranny fluid:beatentodeath: (honestly i wish the horse was my tranny right now)

i was reading up on some other forums that sometimes it could be a lack of pressure how could i check the pressure or prime (if there is such a thing) my tranny? any clues i have searched everywhere no luck

Have you verified that the correct plugs are going to the correct plugs???

there are 3 set of plugs that will plug into each other but arent correct... Double check whats plugged in and if its the correct plug...

been thru this too well when buying a few with the same prob from people.. your not going to be happy the car doesnt want to start etc.. because the convertor wasnt installed correctly and the bushing has locked up onto the convertor inside the transmission and now you need the pump casing a bushing and to take the convertor to a machine shop and get it very minimal machined.. i have bought 3 2g autos that people havew done this to..

also you can mix the plugs up and fry the tcu but it will still move reverse and third if it was that..

see the thing is there was nothing done to the trans pretty much took out the engine overhauled it and put it back in its place...car pulled fine before this

ok i stand corrected the buzzing does take place when i shift but only when the car is off when its on it does not...as for where it was coming from its not where i thought either its actually somewhere on the tranny:barf:
