I have a 1990 eclipse gst stock only upgrades were a walboro fuel pump which old owner did. New downpipe and full exhaust, new greddy BOV (which is pointless with no boost) and a aftermarket gauge so see my exact boost. We fixed almost everything from the wastegate, intercoller leak, new mass air flow, throttle body, the turbine is connected new hoses the whole 9 yards. Around 2500 rpm the car starts to buck and it feels like the fuel is cutting out. I get absoutly no boost. My mechanic is dead set that we need a new ecu because I used to be able to disconnect the battery and once the computer reset I would get boost out of the car for like 3 to 4 days. Now I get nothing, but anyway I am just looking for some other advice.

Thank you
Nick

Yea but like 3 weeks ago I was like let unplug the battery I did, left it unpluged for like 30 min and started it up car ran fine until I put it in nuetral (Like when I would come to a dead stop) Than it would still buck but at least I was getting some boost out of it. now it stopped boosting i tried to unplug again nothing one pound if i am lucky only when i just turn the car on. But turbo is fine.

No check engine light thats the thing. I would think if you have a bad ecu you would have more problems than just no boost. The car runs completely fine but it is extremely slow since I have no boost and I have to shift a 2500 rpm's. But no check engine light. Yes the car can exceed 2500 but you have to tap the throttle, so its like 2600....2700...2800. Very slowly, but once over 3000 or 3100 than you really cannot get rpm's much higher

yes there is a check engine light, i put super in the car, shaft play is fine, never did compression test yet i have people telling me to do it but my guy who does it for me has been busy and not boost leak. So I should try that compression test asap

I have a 91 eclipse gsx with a auto tranny and I have similar issues. from idle to.. lets say about 5500 rpm's it takes about 4 to 5 secs to do that. when i let off the throttle no bov noise. Any help to this problem?
I also have a couple of other lil questions that i would like to know, but i guess i'll pose a new topic on this forum a lil later

Would the car do this if it had stock or aftermarket cams from a standard dsm?
Maybe cams from a non turbo eclipse?
Would it hurt if i use a ecu from the same year model car but as a standard?
i currently have a 14b on the car and a voodoo boost controller, a pacesetter header, just a downpipe, gonna finish the exhaust whenever i get this fixed. could it be a vacume problem and if so where can i get a good diagram of the routing?
