Toronto,
So I cracked up the boost to 20 PSI and did second tuning run... Around 5000 RPM I heard a loud woosh and i knew one of my pipes slipped.
This is on my AWD TSI 136 miles engine (180 180 170 180 compression 1 month ago).
2.5" Short route 32" FMIC
B16G
550CC
2.5" Catless Turbo back
2.5" Hybrid connection O2H
Dejon intake (3") and Vibrant filter

Bunch of other mods on top but thats not important.

So my J pipe was for passenger side so I had to cut it and fabricate few pipes myself (temp solution till i get proper FMIC J pipe) but it works just one of the connections is not beaded so it slipped off. I took whole assembly down double checked it and tightened it with Tbolts and it's not leaking.

Most weird thing is that my VAC used to be around -15 at idle and around -23 to 25 when decel or engine brake and now my VAC would not go below 10 at all no matter what.

I set boost to 10 PSI for now and car drives fine and idles okay (I did notice it sometimes stops at 1500 RPM and drops to 700 right after).
I did a boost leak test 2 weeks ago and I fixed a small one I had so what else could be causing such poor VAC? Could something else happen to the engine and/or the car when my LICP blew @ 20 PSI @ 5000 RPM?

You suggestions are appreciated

How is she running? I'd do another boost leak test. Do you have any rubber intercooler pipes? I would check for small cracks.

She is running pretty much the same as before nothing too out of ordinary (xept my third replaced ALT and voltage still fluctuating but that's a whole other story :)

Pipes are metal (pretty strong onces too) couplers are 4 layer Silicone and very good T Bolt clamps.

Only rubber pipe is from Jpipe to the LICP (reused stock one) but that one has no cracks and in good condition (off my 97 GSX).

So she's running stoic? Just low vac? That's kind of weird. Have you done a WOT pull with the low vac at all to see if she sputters or is running rich? What's the RPMs at idle?

She's running bit rich but smooth @ WOT, no sputters and it idles @ 700 RPM or 800 with AC on

Well if that's the case, I personally wouldn't worry much about it. But I'd still spray some starter fluid around vac lines, TB flanges, IM flange, anything close to the cylinders to see if there is a vac leak.
