Recently my stock radiator blew a 6 inch crack and sprayed coolant all over my engine bay. this happened on a 90 degree day at the steady speed of 45 mph cruising
What I'm wondering is:

Did this happen due to a blown head gasket? #3 and #4 look a little different then #1 and #2 (they look damp), this might be because a coolant lake had these two submerged for about an hour (while plugs were still in). On the way home i put water into the cooling system to keep the motor cool. every now and then I stopped to refill it since it was spraying out of my radiator. When i did this i would hear a slight boiling sound when i took the rad cap off. I never heard any spot boiling before or after, never saw any smoke out the tailpipe either.

So is this a case of a blow head gasket or not? Getting a mishimoto radiator and dont want to blow that one.

I had a similar problem with a crack in the radiator. In my case I replaced the radiator and the problems continued. I took the car to a shop where they did a coolant test and confirmed a leaky head gasket. I'm not saying this is your concern, but to be sure ahead of time you need to know if there are any contaminates in the coolant.

I would also drain the oil and see if it looks milky (milk shake). If it does then coolant has mix with the oil. ^^^ check your coolant too!!!!

well i had to dump massive amounts of water into the coolant to get home, the oil looks ok, when i check it through the dipstick. The people at JNZ have said that it doesnt sound like a blown headgasket.

The coolant or water in your system is boiling because the system is no longer closed/pressurized due to the hole in your radiator. Fix the radiator and go from there.
