ok so heres the deal i have a 1995 tsi awd only a magnaflow muffler everything else is stock on stock 10-12 psi at max just rebuilt about 400 miles ago. so the problem i am getting a knock sensor read and i am hearing a knock it is only happenign til the car gets driven awhile sounds like piston slap but it only does it at idle and when the turbo spools when i drive if i keep off the gas and psi under 0 it doesnt knock when i spool its really loud sounds like turbo but why would i hear it at idle. i feel it pull timing back i can floor it and when the turbo spools it goes slow but if you back off the gas and comes down to 0 psi it wants to go then push gas again it surges and pulls timing very confused just want the thing to run right.
