Just sitting at idle after a good drive I'll hear a pressure relief type sound like someone was removing air from a tire. The sound happens for about 1-3seconds and then goes away for about 10-15 seconds and the happens again. Its coming from the rear, I'm thinking its my fuel pump but i don't know why it would make this noise HELP!!!

BTW its a walbro 255lb

Please don't bump your threads.

Take out the back seat and uncover the fuel pump access panel (if 1g's have them, which I think they do). Does the noise get louder? If so, then the problem is in the fuel pump area. Do you have an AFPR for that 255lph pump?

Are you sure it's from the rear?
Possibly you could be hearing your EVAP purge.

I don't have my logger handy but i believe you can command evap purge on mmcd.

I'd narrow it down by having someone ride with you, or if it only occurs at a stop, beat it around the block and have someone waiting upon your return.
