Hey! So recently purchased my first dsm, know quite a bit about the cars, but mine seems to have an issue. During heavy acceleration (that means damn there petal to the metal) the car will accelerate then have a sudden pop sound, and a loss off acceleration. It will go in out of power loss until you let off. If I gradually accelerate, it will boost fine and accelerate fine. Boost leak? Vacuum lines? Help would be much appreciated.

So where would the the fuel cut be located and how do I go about testing to see if it is malfunctioning?

fuel cut is when you run out of fuel. there isnt enough fuel for the car to burn. get a bigger fuel pump injectors and afpr and safc and you will be set to get it tuned thats how you cure it.

Or turn the boost down.

I'd start by turning the boost down until you find out what the problem is. Then do a boost leak test, check ignition (plugs wires etc) and try to log what's going on if all else fails with a logger. A friend of mines had an issue like that TODAY and when we logged we found out that the car was pulling mad timing due to a faulty KNOCK SENSOR. If you don't have one get one asap!

That's not at all what fuel cut is and the problem here isn't fuel cut. It could be phantom knock but it's hard to guess what it really is.

The thing is, I'm running stock boost. So the fuel cut problem doesn't add up. Also the phantom knock problem has been ruled out, due to the fact I don't have the excessive valve ticking (which is the cause of the phantom knock symptoms). I kind of figure since the intercooler pipes are old (and rubber) that they need to be replaced, and I just need to go through the car thoroughly and find leaks.
