Power Steering Belt and Altenator Belt

Ok i have 420a....and have bocken 3 power steeting belts in less than a month and..........this last time my altenator belt broke also.............. im not sure if its the altenator belt causing the problem because the second time i replaced it the altenator belt had sliped 1/4 so im thinking it can be pushing again tha power steering belt.............................................. ..........Please Help......opinions

Make sure all the pulleys "line up" (no offset - site from 1 pulley to the other to check) and are not bent. Also use correct belt (length, width, #ribs if ribbed belt or if it's a V-belt the thickness must not be so much that it touches (bottoms out) on the pulley groove (I'm not sure which type of belt the 420A has so I'm mentioning this), and of course tensioned properly.
