Help Just Installed Mbc And Cant Control Boost

ok so just got the mbc its just an old ball and spring i have it hook to my WG acuater and my vac/boost source is off the compresser didnt want to use to much hose. I will take it out and my gauge is only reading about 7psi because i have it screwe out but i screw it in and the boost doesnt go up at all i need help on some of the problems that i may have

At what psi does your wastegate open? That is without any boost controller in-line. 7psi sounds kinda low but I don't know what turbo/wastegate you have. I'm wondering if it's your wastegate that is the problem, opening too easily and staying open.

im thinking at stock without the mbc it was about 9psi

If you loosened it all the way, it may take several turns before it starts increasing boost. Do big turns in between tests and brake-boost to see where it ends up. When it starts affecting your boost, make small changes to fine-tune. Once it starts affecting the boost, a big turn may jack the boost up a lot.

Don't overboost. It might seem fun and all...until you break something.

Look at my tech article on how to clean MBC(ball+spring type). Its in turbo tech.
When I was having issues with my Hallman Evo Pro, I had zero adjustment. Disassembled and cleaned, now full smooth operation.
Silicone or lithium grease should both be okay to use, as they are resistant to moisture and help in keep everything from rusting.
