Ive looked around the forum for a while and didnt find anyone who has had this problem.

I had a 1.8L in my 92 eclipseGS for about 6 months before everthing went... well yeah so i looked around and found a 2.0 on tiger tigerjapanese.com and decided that a complete engine swap is what i wanted. so i found a list of everything that could b transfered over from the 1.8L to the 2.0 and bought all the other expensive goodies.

i sent the car off to my family mechanic and ive been driving my bros 99 grand am for 3 months i get a call from him and hes got everything in except hes having trouble w. the O2 sensor missing the wire that goes from it to the ecu (which i found the pinout on here) so no big deal there. AND he says that the power steering pump comes up short. i went and looked at it and its when its bolted into the housing its about an inch off and the belt wont go around it unless i want it rubbing the side of the motor.

i brought it back to auto zone and told them there must b a mistake and they reassured me that i had bought the proper pump.

does anyone no what i can do to fix this? any comments or quick fixes would be great!
