Oil pressure !!!

Oil Pressure is perfect at startup and cold idle.

When engine is warm the oil pressure drops below the stock L line

I'm using castrol gtx 10w 30 and mobil oil filter

If i'm driving and let off the gas and press the clutch to stop the engine dies.

When I check the oil the dipstick indicates that it is at the correct level.

The oil on the dipstick has a slight smell of gas and is a greyish color.

I think that 1 or more of the injector seals is leaking.

What could be the cause of the low oil pressure ?

Is it safe to drive the car like this ?

First thing first, put a manual oil preasur guage on there and check what you are really dealing with. If it is still low when warm you probably have one of 2 problems worn oil pump or bearings going out. Does it knock? If so time for a rebuild. If not replace the pump and check it agian.

I changed the oil and now the oil pressure guage stays between the L and the first quarter mark. Is this where it should be ? The engine does not knock, However there is a slight rattling or pinging sound sometimes when accelerating uphill. How loud are the injectors on the 4g63 ?

DID you ever figure this out... I'm having the same issues ... mechanic told me CTS, pointed at the a/c switch though so that was already a red flag... only happens after all warmed up.... just wants to die ...and will, then takes a while to start back up... otherwise has been running really well. some hesitation on acceleration in lower rams . plus terrrrrrrible gas milage , so i still want to change out the 02 sensor or sensors and the cts
