Okay i have a 95 talon n/t with a 2.0 engine belonged to my mom she just had the engine put in not to long ago seemed to be working fine from what i was told till she let someone borrow the car it wouldnt hold a charge. so i went by jumped it and it started right up drove it around for awhile. tuned the car off and then back on and it had just enough juice to start again. let it run for awhile went to start it the next day it was dead again. jumped it drove it around for a while and it was fine except for the fact that i notice the radiator light on and the check engine light was on as well. so i let is run for a few mins the the car just died tried to start it again nothing. went by to start it put in a new battery and it turned over, its getting fuel from what i can tell but the weird thing is that i took the #1 spark plug wire off to check to see if it was getting spark and the car turned over and attempted to start dont kno what it could be please help any advice would be helpfull thanks
The low washer fluid light looks nothing like a radiator. It looks like a windshield with a line splitting it in the middle. There are 2 arced and dashed lines running above it. If that is what you're seeing it's the windshield washer fluid dummy light. Just means you are out of washer fluid. If your coil pack were out it could keep the car from cranking, but more than likely it would just run really bad. Like i said before, you need to make sure all your underhood fuses are good first. Then you need to make sure the starter motor and starter solenoid are getting 12 volts from the battery. If they are and the car still won't turn over, one or the other has gone bad. It wouldn't be the alternator keeping it from cranking. Even if the alternator was not working at all, as long as you have a fully charged battery the car will crank and run until it has the battery drawn down dead. Your problem lies in either the starter/ solenoid, ignition switch, or the wiring between all of it.
