I have a 95 eclipse 20 n/t Just rebuilt the engine. runs great, But after I drive it 3 miles or more, then kill it, to go in the store for several minutes it will not crank. It turns over fine, but no fire to the spark plugs. I have noticed simillar threads on this problem. I replaced the coil,& wires, looked for corrosion around my wires going to the coil . after I let it cool off for say 20 minutes it cranks back up no problem. Its like something gets too hot after I kill the engine and the engine reaches it's hottest temp. the engine is not running hot though. and the engine will crank up allways right after I kiil it.maybe the asd relay? looks fine..... maybe the fuse link at the engine fuse box? looks fine.... any for sure fixes on this doosey?thanx I have three eclipses rebuilt two of them. Just never ran into this problem.,

Just a thought. Since the powertrain control module (aka ECU) is in the engine compartment in a NT, perhaps an internal component (eg. capacitor) is heat sensitive and failing. Can you swap it out or when it's cold heat it with a hairdryer to see if it fails?
