FMIC install help.

I was recently given a universal FMIC with a set of 2.5 in pipes(its on of those eBay kits). I have the t25 right now. I was wondering if anyone has pictures of how they installed theres or a drawing of how it might be done.this is a pic of the pipes that came with it.

Well I dont know about a 2g car, but I spent all of this past weekend mocking up my FMIC on my 1g.

Believe me its no joke, its an involving job so get a friend to help. First take off your headlights, plastic bumper cover (several plastic trim pieces) and metal bumper. Then mock up your intercooler to see how it fits. Mine botled right up to the factory holes in the core support. I then put my metal bumper back on to see how much needed to be trimmed off, turned out a lot had to be cut, lucky I have a friend with a torch to cut the bumper. I widended the holes in the core support for the pipes to fit in with a "sawsall". Then "adjusted" my A/C lines out of the way.

After cutting everything I rewelded parts of the metal bumper for support, grinded the flash down, cleaned and painted it all over to prevent rust. Oh and I had to trim a little off my plastic bumper cover so it didnt rub the intercooler.

A lot of work involved. Just remember "measure twice, cut once".

EDIT: Silly me, thats just the Intercooler... but the pipes SHOULD be much easier to install. I think with those universal kits they give you several different pipes for different applications, you probably wont use all of them. Mine came right off another car so it fit with little hassle other than getting the intercooler to fit.

I actually have to do both, get the intercooler to fit and get the pipes to fit. So the top part was very helpful. There are two holes on the top and bottom to mount the intercooler, i figured all i need to do is make some brackets maybe cut the bumper some, figure out how to do the piping and then be done.(hopefully its as easy as it sounds) Thanks again Brutus
