Car is a 1992 Talon TSi AWD 6/4 5speed.

Anytime the HVAC fan is blowing, the lights automatically come on. As if I were to turn my lights on (not headlights, one click before that). Also, if there is no key in the ignition and the HVAC fan is set to any speed, the HVAC will begin to blow if I turn the lights on. I am told this is not normal behavior.

Both front turn signals light up when the lights are on, but they do not flash when I use my indicator. Only the rear lights work for the turn signal. They flash twice as fast as normal. There's a few plugs behind the headlights that seem to go to nothing. They are all female.

The interior lights don't work. I changed the dome bulbs, but no dice. Is there a fuse? The interior fuse box cover is missing.

Recently, when I tap my brakes, the power to the vehicle will nearly cutout for about half a second. Same goes for when I change my headlights from normal to bright and vise-versa. If I stop the car and the headlights are on, they will cutout for about half a second then come back on until I turn them off. This is a new problem, I'm hoping it's a loose battery connection or something.

Thanks in advance.

You sure have got some serious electrical gremlins running around in that car.

About your front signals, it sounds like you may be missing the bulbs and possibly the buttplugs for the actual signals (the lights at the center of the bumper). You said you noticed the turn signals light up, but I think you're seeing the side marker lenses lighting up (ones on the very end of the bumper). The unplugged connectors seem to agree with this as well as the faster flashes (typical behavior when a bulb or two goes out).

Your interior light problem sounds like a fuse. Check fuses 18 and 19 at the driver's kick panel fuse box. These will be the last two fuses on the lower right corner of the fuse panel.

Others will have to chime in on your other issues.

Thanks for the reply.

Turns out the bulbs were missing in the front, the turn signals now works like it should.

Both fuses for the interior bulbs are fine. I'll play with the switches in the door jams, I know those can go bad.

Thanks again.

I have multiple DSMs. Which one should I put in there? Should I change it every time I ask a question about a specific one to avoid ultimate confusion? Did I provide enough information right away in the first post about the vehicle in question? I now see the thread topic is only one of my problems. Should I have made multiple threads?

:)

Back on topic, the driver door switch for the interior lights was fully missing, so I believe I solved that mystery.

Thanks again guys.
