Wotn start when cold, Ive searched!

Hey guys, Im new to DSM's, I have searched and have come up with cold start valve. Now, my car is pretty built, it has a stage 3 coil head, aftermarket computer ect, now, when it above 30-35 degrees, the car will need to be cranked 3-4 times, but itll start up, if it is colder, then it will not start. The guy I got it from said it was the computer gettign cold, dont know if he means ecu or the innovative motorpsorts one, but, I have been unplugging the innovative and bringing it in at night, I havent had any startig issues with it untill today, it got down to around 9-10 degrees last night, I went to start it, turned the computer and feul pump on, plugged teh computer in, and started to turn it over, it did nothing, usually if I just do short cranks itll fire, but, today nothing, I came hoem from work, it got to about 28-29 degrees and still nothing, the car does have a brand new optima in it. If its warm, the car fire right up faster than my brand new truck. Any ideas?
 
Sounds like a fueling issue. Do you have a datalogger? Are you getting a check engine light? Check the connection for the coolant temp sensor on the thermostat housing, the wires get brittle and break over time.
 
gotta hate the cold weather ... grrrrrr any who there's a few things i'd say to check and hope they can narrow things down for ya..
1. at night go out with a flashlight and check your coil pack and ignition parts ... looking for hairline cracks in any parts... i.e. collecting moisture in the ignition system .. if you find any cracks ...replace em.. wrecks havoc in winter.. the tiniest crack in a coil and boom no go... unlesss you crank it til the moisture dries out ... if possible... but warm out not alot of moisture in the air .. you crank you go
2. i would try that "heet" (mentioned above)
3pop your air fliter off and spray JUST A SMALL BURST of starting fluid up the throttle tube.. if it fires in the freezing cold like that ... fuel issues
4. change out the fuel filter .. known to freeze over..
5. check the electric wires and connectors for the fuel pump itself... cracks, breaks ... i.e collecting moisture..
6. pump issues... internally in the pump?
either way .. winter will be winter.. hope this helps .. and stay warm out there!!
 
Thanks so much guys! The feul filter is a new aeromotive unit, and the pump is a Walbro, externally mounted, I assum that isnt it, but wont cancell it out. Ill get the HEET and check the other thins mentioned above, Id really lik to drive the car more, but this Cincy weather sucks, it was 45 this morning car fired right up, got to work fine, come out for lunch, it 28 and snowing, car didnt wanna start, but after some coaxing it fired up. Ill update it I find anyhting, and thanks again!
 
Also, yes i do have a datalogger, an I do have a check engine light, but I assume the light is from the no cat.
 
definately something with the ignition..... snow is the key word there ... moisture is getting into the ignition part of some sort... cranking it several times evaporates the moisture that is collecting on the contacs .. and then the car fires.. remember .. even hair lines cracks make this possible ...(most commonly found on the base and or sides of the coil pack i.e distributor cap) best to find em at night .. as mentioned above .. be moi :) ... oh and dont forget .. the seal of any part ... good luck
