I am trying to pick a clutch for my eclipse gsx. Right now I have a light weight flywheel, going to rebuild my motor, big 16g, Front mount intercooler, yellow top injectors, and the dsmlink. I am planning to break it in for about 5000 miles or so. but I may change my mind about the amount of boost and stuff like that. I will probably get a wide band in the future also. I will push 18 lbs of boost. Any suggestions.

What do you guys think about the fidanza clutches that are on sale. The 3.2 is good for 480 ft lbs and the 4.3 is good for 580 fts of torch. I think that close. Please let me know.

That would work, no doubt. And Fidanza makes damn good products...but as far as clutches go...ACT's are DSM staples.

I had a Clutch Masters 4 puck in mine for about 6 months and the damn thing shattered on me and punched all into my gears...I'm an ACT girl now. I've had it for about 6 months and the thing still grabs like new.

Just goes to show you...no matter how good the name, the NAME doesn't get you from A to B. I personally think that ACT surpasses just about everything else on the market.

act 2600 is all i need? What kind of clutch disk/puck does it come with?

Ypu can get it with an organic street, a sprung 4 or 6 puck, or a solid 4 or 6 puck disc. Just go onto their website and read up on the different discs they have to see what will work for you the best. Also make sure the flywheel is machined to the correct tolerances before you install it all or you may have some problems down the road.

Fidanza and ACT are both good. However, besides the ACT clutch and pressure I tend to think the rest of the kit parts is crap. They cannot takes what the 2600 is capable of. It crapped out on me about 5000 miles and that has happened to other people. But if you're still coming the ACT the Fidanza 4.3 has a lighter clutch than the 2600, it is somewhat equivalent to the 2100 clutch pedal pressure and can hold as much torque as the 2600 if that matters to you.

i ran a street disk just fine on a evo 3 16g, with 280 cams and 20 psi of boost and a 2600 pressure plate held up to 6 grand launches all day long.

I have been running the ACT 2600 with at street disc and ACT XACT flywheel. My car went 11.49 last summer on a 96 degree day. That was after driving it a hour to get there. Clutch has never let me down or slipped. Only slips when I make it do it launching.

I would say get a ACT Xtreme pressure plate with a performance disc get the 50/50 disc is good for the street and with this setup you should be able to hold up the setup you are going to use.
