transmission trouble

i searched and didn't get any definite answers so ill post my question here. i have a 93 5speed talon it needed a new clutch so i did all the normal new clutch stuff flywheel,clutch disk and pressure plate. everything is put back together but i only have forward gears everything else works good just cant reverse its driving me crazy. any help will be greatly appreciated.thanks

Did you have reverse before you done the clutch job?

Does the trans grind and not go into reverse or can you just not even start to put it in reverse? Check the shifter cables and cable attachment arm. You may need to adjust it.

If you have chip ebay clutch they make this problem.I have alot of problem with XDR and F1 and eclutchmaster.Just try to adjust you shifter cable braket unter the hood,or you can try to put gear on reverse with out shiftercable. You can test your tranny only on reverse if it's work fine your braket need ajustmet.

Sounds like you have a adjustment issues with the clutch get under the dash and adjust the clutch so it disengages more. Thread the adjustment rod in screwing towards the firewall.

ok try to adjust the cables under the rubber boot in the car. also make sure all the linkage on the tranny side is functioning right. have someone sit in the car and shift out 1-5 and reverse.see if you see anything unusual
