i have a 93 eagle talon tsi awd fully built with 2 12 inch fans runing 24/7 now can i mix the antifreeze and water somehow to make it run cooler becouase im thinking of taking it to florida and it runs hot here...:talon:

You probably have a stuck thermostat thats not opening and keeping the coolant in the block and even with the fans on non-stop it won't cool off enough. You can run like 70% water and 30% coolant or straight water with some purple ice or water wetter, but being winter it will probably freeze up. Start the car and let it get to operating temp(180-205, depending on the degree of the thermostat)and feel your lower and upper radiator hoses. If your lower one is hot and the upper hose is cool your thermostat is not opening and you need a new one. Hope that helps.

So your car is overhearting? Water dissipates (sp?) heat better, if you're going to be in Florida you should be able to get away with running less coolant in your mixture. I would also try out a 180 degree thermostat because they are cheap and easy to replace.

I have a 93 fully built. I ended up having to get FAL fans and aluminum radiator to really solve the problem especially when summer is here. If you spent the money building yourself a rocket then you got to put the money into keeping it cool. If you don't have something obviously wrong like a stuck thermo or plugged radiator then double check your wiring on the fans to make sure that they are pulling air and not pushing it. I had an idiot mechanic one time wire one of my fans backwards which was causing it to pull hot air off the turbo. That would have been fine had I been living in the artic but seriously the stock cooling system sucks on these. The fans are heavy and bulky and not as effient as the newer designs. There is not a lot of room under there and these cars will trap that ho air under the hood. You can also use a product made by redline called water wetter which claims to make the coolant mixture work more effiently. I use it in mine and my engine doesn't get any hotter than 208F. I run a 70/30 mix because of how cold it gets where I live. I also use the orange prestone coolant.

Water cools better than water and antifreeze. However, it also corrodes your cooling system, and in a motor with aluminum and iron parts, you also suffer electrolytic attack.
Run 30% antifreeze in warm areas. If you aren't cooling enough, your solution is in a better radiator.
