anyway i am a owner of a first gen dsm 2.0 dohc N/A......anyway now to my problem i went to start my car the other morning. well the car ran for about 2 sec and died...tryed again ran for a split second then died.....check the timing belt and its not broke just missing a couple of teeth...my question is what are the odds that i bent a valve or can i put a new belt on and get it in perfect time so it will run????????

People have gotten lucky and for whatever reason their valves haven't bent, myself included.

There are a few ways to check to see if the valves are bent and I think they're all listed above.
