Bueno, my car has a problem starting up in the morning. I'd say it's just a bad cold starter like others, but I live in texas, and it's been about 70 outside in the mornings.

I'll turn the key, it'll kick a little, then it'll die, and I repeat until it stays started. Then, it has to run for a few minutes before I even think about touching the gas pedal.

The only thing I can think of is that I have been using 90 octane, but I'm not sure if my engine needs the high octane fuel or not. Any ideas?

Well first off 70 is not cold. Running 90 octane gas I doubt is your problem unless you have some really bad stuff. I would start with checking your battery. Make sure that all the connections are good.

Also check your fuel pressure. Does the car die if you put your foot on the gas in the first few min.? It could be a bad fuel pump too.

i second that....check all fuel components (fuel pump, fuel pressure, fuel filter etc) i had similar problem after my battery arched on my hood. must of sent some weird current to the fuel pump ### it ran like butt when i started it in the morning. but it went away after about 3 or 4 days.

Nah, it's not knocking, and it's practically a brand new engine. 70 may not be cold to you, but it sure is to me; I'll go out it pants, two shirts, and my ridiculously warm jacket; although, yes, I know it's not that cold to the car. I've got the boost controller enabled, so in theory, I'm only getting 7 lbs. of boost. (Correct me if I'm wrong on that, for the love of God) I just had my fuel pressure checked, but then again, I had a guy at the local shop do it, and he sucks balls:shhh:(Kinda looks like it, to me); so how do I do it myself? (If it's possible)

And about the battery, I haven't checked it, yet, but I'll get right on that.

Other than that, it runs fine, it just does that in the morning. Once it runs for a little bit on the road, it'll kick in like nothin else and run beautifully.

Alright, I checked the battery and it's still running 12 volts, but I have nothing to check my fuel pressure with, so I need to know if I'm gonna need to get the guage or not.

Change the water temp probe (the one with 2 spade ends). When that goes bad it lets the ECU think the engine is up to temp and leans out the mixture.:thumb:
