Hi I'm new to the eagle scene... I just bought a 91 talon turbo that doesn't start. I have eliminated the problem down to no spark.. I have already replaced the Coil and power transistor thing with known good ones.. still no spark.. the previous owner stated that the only thing he tried was replacing the ECU... when he did he said it ran for about a minute then shut off... i am going to try replacing the cam sensor next... I just wanted to know if any1 had encountered a wiring problem which may short out the ECU after just a few minutes of being installed.. also I am getting fuel to the fuel rail but I am unsure if the injectors are spraying but there is deffinetly no spark. Any help would be appreciated Thankyou.

Barring broken timing belt ( which I am sure you have already checked) I would look at the ECU again These cars are prone to ECU failure. As for checking for fuel pull a spark plug is it wet? If you have no spark but have fuel the plug will be wet.

Good luck

Ok so i have no spark at the coil itself and i do have fuel... i checked the voltage coming from the connector.. with the ignition off all 3 wires are at 0 volts... when the ignition is turned on the two yellow wites are at 0.68volts and the black wire is at 12.14volts. when I crank the motor the two yellow wires read 1.06 volts and fluxuates from 0.68 to 1.06 and the black wire fluxuates from about 12.14volts to 10.38 volts.... is this the normal thing it should be doing?

After replacing the transistor, coils, little silver box thingy on firewall, cam sensor, and ecu.. the car still did not run... after cranking it for a while it puttered a couple times... i finally found a loose ground wire on the firewall that extends to the intake manifold... after tightening this wire the car starts and drives fine...
