I have a stock 92 eagle talon tsi. The other day i stopped at a gas station to fill up my car. After i was done, I started the car up like normal,it ran for 2 seconds and shut off. I went to start it back up and nothing. There isnt any check engine lights or relays clicking over. My headlights still work as well. I was wondering if it could possibly be the ignition switch. Also I have an alarm, and the alarm remote wont even lock/unlock the car. Please help thank you very much.

You didnt give that much info on the problem but I'll try to help....Im guessing your car is still sitting at this gas station, so I'll list some quick things you could do to troubleshoot the problem

Things that come to mind:
If you think the ignition switch is bad, try this. Does your radio turn on when key is in the ACC position? Does your heater controls work when your key is set to the IGN position? If yes to both of these, this verifies working ACC, and IGN functions controlled by the switch. Does the starter engage? If yes,Its not the ignition switch and Its not the alarm. Its pretty rare anyone does a fuel system shut down blah blah. If the starter does not click or engage/crank the motor, there is a OVER-RIDE button under the dash somewhere depending on where the installer places it. Push and hold the override button while turning the key in the igntion (hold button while starting car) this should solve that problem. If the car just cranks and cranks check for spark. If spark is present SOMETIMES this is caused by timing skipping. Pop the top timing cover off and make sure the cams line up properly. If spark is not present, try to borrow a buddies coil pack AND power transistor just in case. Swap them and see what happens. If none of this works, Its gonna take a little digging to find the gremlin...

Thats all I can think of right now for ya, This will atleast give you an idea of what to do unless someone else has some quick ideas I may have missed

Do you have a turbo timer? I've heard cases of them getting screwed up somehow and not allowing the car to start. If you do have one, try disconnecting it.

yes i do have a turbo timer. It doesnt even crank when i try and start it. It appears as if i have a dead battery, but the battery is fine. no power to the turbo timer either, nor the radio or anything else.

see if you can get your hands on a Mulit-meter and check your battery voltage. Check the ground on the battery and firewall. That happened to me before when the ground wastnt making good contact in the battery

By the way did you get the oil problem solved? It could be what is causing you new situation. If the oil ran low or out it could have started to gaul one of the cam jurnels and it finly seased. The easy way to find out is put a 1/2"breaker bar in the crankshaft and try turning the engine (out of gear of corse). If it turns your living if not it's time to dig deeper.
