no oil light and no oil pressure gauge

Hi , First sorry for my poor english .I will try to do my best .

I have change my alternator Monday and i have forget to screw the bracket to hold the wire on the alternator .

My wire (alternator big red wire , oil switch wire and oil pressure sender wire) mold on the downpipe and short (I have see some spark).

Now my Cluster gauge not work and my oil light not work . when I turn my key on the light dows not come on .

I think I have broke my cluster . If I check the diagram in the service manual the wire from the oil pressure switch and oil pressure sender these wire go directly to the cluster.

What do you think about that ?

Have you double checked to make sure you re connected everything back after changing your alternator? I know i have a wire and plug( i think) that connect to the oil filter housing be sure to check those are connected.






(i think) only becuase its been awhile since i been under there on that side

I have double check all . I have plug the 2 connector on the alternator , the big red wire and the front connector and the 2 wire on the oil filter housing (1 on the oil pressure switch and 1 on the oil pressure sender).

Also I have check this morning the oil light behind the cluster and the light is ok . I have check too the #8 fuse in the fuse panel (gauge fuse)
