I dont know what it is called its the part that spins around the cranksensor some kind of plate thingy. Its off balance or bent and keeps messing up my cranksensor. 95 gst and bout how much do they run? This is what the mechanic told me I have not had a chance to get under there and really look at the part. Any info will be helpful thanks.

The timing plate is a soft flat disk of metal with a notch. The notch passes through the crank sensor so the ECU knows crank position. Tell the grease monkey to bend it flat and put her back together. Tell him he better put it back on right too!

LOL yeah I think thats was what the guy was talking about he said he tried to bend it back but I think he either didnt do it right or its still bent. I just had the idoit change the sensor and he said he did that but know its making a messed up noise like it off balance or somthing. Well anyways I dont think he fixed it right it turned on idled fine in all so I payed the dude was driving it home and gave it a little gas in second and the dam thing messed up again it turned off. Thought it was the gas now it idling like crap no power sounds like its either misfiring or the injectors arent working right. From my understanding that sensor controls that stuff so I think the dam plate messed up the sensor again. Doyou know how much that thing runs? Also I was hearing of eliminating that and moving the sensor up by the valvecover using the sensor from an older model eclipse does anyone have some feedback about that? If so what year would I get that sensor from so I could buy it from the dealer. Thanks again

Your talking about the trigger plate and the crank angle sensor. The crank sensors are cheap for us 2g guys. Your looking at around $50 buck from the dealer.

Swapping to a 1g cas is ok. Its got its pros and cons.
