Hello I have searched your threads and not really sure still on my problem i just put my car together i bought and it has a b&m bushwacker commando fuel pressure regulator, forn mount intercooler, stage two clutch and the vacumn mods sone to where i am running a catch can from my pvc valve and the other nipple on the valve cover as well as all vacumn ports blocked except for the fuel regulator and i have my blowoff valve and wastegate teed into a port on the intake my question is this when at idle, i run my car and it rpms up and everything sounds good but my wastegate actuator wont move my blowoff valve makes the pssh sound and has a great deal of air expelling from it when it makes the sound I also have the gm maf conversion done to i took my wastegate off and it moves freely but it seems to be that it moves forward and not pulling is this normal almost like it needs air forced into it and not vacumn to make it work is this right and is the vacumn elimination preformed right i tried to search for a reverse vacumn but couldnt find any on the intake please help thank you i have a 93 talon tsi awd:talon:

did you take the wastegate off to test it?
you can test it by hooking up an air compressor to it.

yes i took the wastegate off and it seemed to move freely i stuck an end of the vacumn hose on my tongue and felt the pressure as i pulled it out and released it it is like i said earlier it acts like it moves with a reverse vacumn but i cant find any reverse vacumn ports on my car here is the vacumn setup catch can running from pvc valve and nipple on valve cover by cam angle adjustment sensor, and everything else capped off except for the fuel pressure regulator and then i have my wastegate and blowoff valve teed to a nipple on the intake but at an idle my blow off valve sounds like its getting plenty of boost it just seems that the wastegate doesnt move but i have the pssh sound from blowoff valve on deacceleration after i wind it up is it working right am i doing something wrong and is my elimination setup right

it might move freely but the wastegate could be bad. Did you take if off the turbo?

is it supposed to be a reverse vacumn system it has a lot of tension puuling it back after i pull it out

Try running a line from your jpipe to the wastegate and see if that works. You have a 14b right?

yes j pipe being the pipe coming from the top of turbo to the intercooler right and do i just eliminate the t from my bov

Yea just cap it off. There should be a nipple on the jpipe if you have a stock one.
There shouldn't be a reverse vacuum but like you said the BOV was working fine so that shouldn't be the problem.

okay thank u i was reading some more threads on the issue and it seems i shouldnt be moving the wastegate actuator at an idle it needs to be under pressure but again thank u for your input i will try this and if it doesnt work i will let you know i just bought the car with a lot of aftermarket mods the guy just didnt know how to put it all back together:talon:

No problem man. If you could post a pic of the engine bay that would help.
