K 1st off Imma explain the story b4 my car decided 2 not start. The day b4 I was at a light in idle and I noticed that my temp. gauge was rising and overheating. My 1st thought was that the fuse to my flex-a-lite fans blew out because it has happened before. I pulled over and the fuse was fine and on top of that the car felt normal [NOT like it was overheating]. So I turned the car back on and it was at normal temp. so I drove home [1 mile away] and tried 2 check for the problem. I kept it on idle and later I noticed the temp. gauge starting 2 rise and my fans weren't turning on [even with the a/c]. So I turned off the motor 2 check if the fans were working and directly connected it 2 the fuse box so they can turn on in ignition. After having that done the fans were working so I tried to start the car and it would just crank nd' not turn on!! Later I checked for codes in DSMLink and it gave me the Coolant temp, IAT, barometric pressure circuit malfunction. So my guess was that the ECT sensor went bad and wasn't signaling my fans to turn on and wasn't reading the correct temp. & I kno that the ECT not working can disable my car. I replaced the sensor and got the same results. So I decided 2 get some Starter spray and cleared the codes and from that the car turned on for a sec. but won't stay on but thats because of the starting spray. So the motor is fine but I believe it to be some electrical problem which I have no clue about. Then after that I just got the code for the IAT, and I don't know what it could be for my car to not start. If anybody has any ideas or solutions to this I'd greatly APPRECIATE it. Please Help!!!!

It sounds like you may have shorted something when you connected into the fuse box. Have you checked all the fuses to be sure they are not shot and are securely plugged in?

Yea but what fuse would do that? And why's the comp. throwin out the IAT code thats what I'm trying to figure out...

The Iat (intake air temperature) is part of the mass airflow sensor. I think that part of the maf. is fused. Maybe when you tapped the fusebox to power the fans, You might have blown something somewhere. Check ALL of your fuses (inside & out) again . . . :talon:

K update I switched out my Dsmlink to my stock ecu and it fired right up! So now I'm guessing that somethin went wrong somehow with my dsmlink. Now I have to figure that part out.

Alrite so it turns out that it was a blown sensor ground. My car starts right up fine now.

That's the difference between a diagnostician and a parts replacer. Good job.
Side note. I'm old and have a hard time with computer speak. Regular English helps me a lot.
Thanks.
