Okay,
Here are my mods first:
1995 GSX
Ported 14b
3" turbo back
2.5" piping/FMIC
550cc RC injectors
190lph walbro
SAFC NEO
Checking timing with Palm n Stein
So here is my problem, I just replaced my O2 sensor yesterday, as I was not getting a reading on my logger or gauge for a while now. The new O2 sensor definitely helped, but now I'm trying to tune, but no matter what I have my SAFC set at my timing drops quick even under light boost (10-15 psi max). I will richen it up to -15 across the board on the SAFC, and it bogs like crazy from running rich obviously. Then, I go down to ~-21 across the board, and it runs a hell of a lot better, but the timing still drops to ~10. Keep playing around with the SAFC and no matter how low I go, or how high I go with my fuel settings I keep having my timing pulled. There are no boost leaks, fixed every one and it holds 20+ psi great.
Now I'm definitely no expert on tuning yet, because my last turbo blew before I could get anything done with it. But now that everything seems fine mechanically, things aren't making sense. I run rich, and the timing is pulled. I run a standard baseline, timing is pulled, i run lean... timing is pulled obviously. Also, this is just at 60-70% throttle too. Same thing happens at WOT, but I can drive at lower throttle points all day, just can't drive this thing like it wants to be driven.
Any ideas?
