I've been tuning my car lately w/ dsmlink. Boosting a bit higher, etc.
I have developed a weird sound now as boost hits hard above 10 psi /
4,000 RPM. It's a loud whine. Like nothing I've ever heard. Sounds
like it's coming from the front (right front?) of the vehicle. But I
know it's nearly impossible to tell where exactly the sound is coming
from boosting down the road.

Of all the threads I've been searching, the closest thing that
resembles my symptoms/noise is when one installs a SMIM and replaces
the brake booster hose not knowing there is a one way check valve in
the hose, thus resulting is a large boost leak at the brakes! Anyway,
no SMIM for me, but it's the only "describing" thing I have at this point.

Also possibly revelant: my car pulls harder to the right (torque steer
from an alignment that they could not get right) like its always done,
except the more power it has, the worse it gets. I believe this is a
result of my lowering springs being pieces of crap, basically.
(Switching back to stock (ouch) today - It's hot!). And, stock clutch
as well. I have no idea if a stock clutch "whines" as it slips, and
little idea if I'm even making enough power to make it slip. It has ~
20K on it.

Sister "forgot" to lend me her vid cam, so here's a vid
from my digital camera. See if someone can't figure it out.

2 vids: One in second, one in third. Both windows down, WOT. Tried to show boost too. It's pretty blurry, but you can see it in the 2nd gear vid. Shown in bar.

...gotta get to the track on the 15th!

Thanks as always,

Crap.

That's a bad feeling LOL

Really, I don't know. Have not checked in some time. Possible though, it has fairly low miles on it. Maybe foreign object in CAI, who knows.

..guess I'll go check..
