ok heres my biggest problem now, i drove my 95 eclipse w/ 6-bolt back home from work(ran fine minor missfire) so i could swap out my isc motor, disconnected battery, upper intake pipe, fuel line to rail, coolant lines (on throttle body), and the connectors for isc and tps sensor. I removed the 1g throttle body, cleaned it and set the tps to spec, installed diff isc. then re-installed it and re-connected everything else how it was. I then reconnected the battery and keyed the car on a couple times (for fuel), went to start the car and now it just cranks and cranks forever. I saw fuel coming out of the exhaust manifold so i let it sit for a bit and removed my spark plugs and torched off all the fuel on them. I also checked for spark and its there at every cylinder... .when removing battery i accidentally arched it with something....im not sure if it would affect anything like a fuse that i dont knowabout that would cause my car to do this. I swapped in the 6-bolt last summer and i know the timing is good, have been driving it for about 6 months with no major problems ( until now)....need help asap PLEASE!

yea what could cause that? i moved the main harness out of the way a bit but i visually checked it and looks ok, i really dont think its a compression problem either because i tested it about a month ago...150s across, and that sorta thing doesnt happen from one day to another.....

1. You need fuel, spark and compression to start the car.

2. Simply getting fuel is not enough, it has to be in proper AFR, check your fuel pressure (fpr) and your ECT (engine coolant temperature) sensor.

3. Do not bump your thread and please use proper capitalization and punctuation in your tech posts.

yes oldman, that is why i was wondering if there is something around that area that i could have possibly messed up or maybe just a coincidence. I visually looked at the fpr but i was wondering that if it failed, would fuel go out through the vaccum nipple? It also doesnt help that i dont have a fuel pressure guage to hook it up to. Also i was looking around other threads to see what a bad engine coolant temp. sensor would do but i must have not been looking hard enough because i could not find it. What is the proper way of testing this sensor?
i didnt mean to "bump" the thread sorry.

Do you have a service manual? You can meassure the resistance of the sensor in both cold and warm conditions.

i got a manual today so im going to test it now, also would a bad fuel pressure regulator cause this?( meaning go bad from one day to another)

I shorted out one of the fuses on the positive battery terminal and my car wouldnt start. Check those fuses u said u arched somthing when moving the battery

ect sensor is within spec per chiltons and its still a no go.....i checked the fuses visually but is there a fuse i could have blown to cause this problem? I swapped out my fuel rail and fpr and still nothing, i also checked timing and its still good, im stumped....Im gonna haveto try2 get in to it deeper (electrically)
