Okay, Bought a rebuilt longblock from KarKing auto in california.
Got the motor in and did the moto man method
250miles did a compression test as follows
Cylinder 1- 130
Cylinder 2- 135
Cylinder 3- 140
Cylinder 4- 135
So far no so not bad.
500miles
Cylinder 1- 135
Cylinder 2- 145
Cylinder 3- 140
Cylinder 4- 135
Getting better.
So I took it out it was running great, came to an intersection to turn right but some **** was to the left of me going straight blocking my view, as i pull out i see this truck flying towards me so i floor it and hit 6k
i felt guilty so i took it home, the car felt like it lost power.
Compression test as of today 10 minutes ago
Cylinder 1- 125
Cylinder 2- 125
Cylinder 3- 126
Cylinder 4- 125
To this point all of the test where run dry.
Did a wet Test and Bam 150s across the board.
Called Karking and the guy tells me its suppose to have low compression, i was just like WTF it should be at 150. He tells me if i want to pull the motor and pay for roundtrip shipping($250) And tells me to check my "turbo might not be boosting". Like i dont know what a turbo is. Not to mention he wasnt exactly all nice and fuzzy about it either.
So my question is should the compression come back up?
Would Retorquing the head studs make a difference(i havent done that)
I dont think it would be worth pulling the whole Effing motor out again and paying 250+ for shipping. Putting in new rings would be half if not 1/4 of the labor where i could add ARP headstuds to seal the deal.
Im really frustrated with this whole situation, last week the car was running better then ever, now its back to square one.
