Hey I'm currently putting everything back together and forgot whether the sway bar passes over or under the front axle on a 2 liter FWD 1g.

I've been running sway bar-less for about a year now because the dang salvage yard gave me 1.8 liter control arms, they have a different sway bar and method of mounting.

So, sway bar passes under or over the front axle? Just go out and look, you know you want to!

It's been a really long time since i have seen that side of a 1st gen.

Although if memory serves me correctly the sway bar passes just under the front axle.

Don't hold me to that because it has been a while, might want to wait it out for a 1g expert to come around first LOL...

Although i think that's how it goes, mainly because i just couldn't understand it going above LOL.

Correct. It goes under the axle.
Everytime I'd line it up it just seemed like the sway bar needed to pass through the axle to get to the end link. Well It turns out that I had in in reversed, left to right, right to left. Funny things happen when you work on your car at 2:30 in the morning! ROFL
